A DIFFERENT KIND OF MOTORCYCLING CLUB

Italian Scenery on a trip

The PEMC is a national non-exclusive club open to anyone who enjoys motorcycles.

It was formed by a group of enthusiasts who wanted to organise events and biking holidays together. Today, the club has around 200 members with a passion for Bikes, Riding and Good Company. There is a wide range of events organised by members willing to share their wealth of experience. These are run by members for members and not for profit which makes the PEMC events, especially European tours, excellent value.

Each month you will receive the club newsletter: Lineswapper, in which members exchange views, ideas and experiences and where forthcoming events are advertised and the latest ones reported on. In addition, for those members with computers we have a Club Forum for exchanging information and club chatter!!

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

With an average of over 35 events a year, there is something to suit everyone and members are always coming up with new and fresh ideas.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM AN EVENT

As PEMC members, we take pride in the value and quality of our trips.

European tours usually last between 5-10 days. For these events, hotels are normally booked on a half board basis, which allows active socializing during the evenings. Hotel details and itineraries are provided, but there are no prescribed routes (sometimes suggestions) and no ride leaders. Members often ride in groups of up to 5, but you can always do your own thing.

New PEMC members will always be made to feel especially welcome. Trips will vary, some being based in only one or two hotels, while others move on more regularly to cover longer distances. Detailed descriptions of the events are advertised in our events publication, Gatherings, and our monthly newsletter, Lineswapper, and will be accompanied with a booking form and deposit slip.

A weekend stay will feature good food, accommodation (no tents here) and company as well as a chance to enjoy routes hand picked by your organiser. These are supported by a wide range of one-day events.

A CLUB RUN BY MEMBERS FOR MEMBERS

Karting on a UK day trip

If you are interested in rules, regulations, meetings and committees, then this is not the club for you. PEMC members enjoy the informality of the organisation and join because they want to ride bikes and have a great time. The club has a constitution that ensures smooth running without unnecessary bureaucracy. The Chairman, Publications Editor, Events Secretary / Treasurer and the Membership Secretary run the club. Each is a volunteer who holds the post, normally, for 2 years.

It is the members themselves who organise the events and trips, which makes the PEMC such a success, and all members are encouraged to participate. The organisation is excellent but we never forget why we joined

If the PEMC is the kind of motorcycling club that you have been looking for, then why not join us by completing our online joining form?
